PARTY PLANNING - LIQUOR GUIDELINES

How Much Should I Order?

Trying to decide how much liquor to have on hand and what type of liquors to offer for your party can be mind boggling. If you follow a few simple tips, the chore of planning the party can be made easy.

Quantity Of Liquor

• Most people will consume 1 or 2 drinks prior to dinner and another one after dinner, depending on how long they remain after the dinner table is cleared.

• Another easy key is to estimate approximately 10 people per bottle or about 120 people per case of liquor.

Selection Of Liquor

For 150 people, a good selection of liquor would be:

7 Liters:  Vodka
1 Liter:  Gin
5 Liters:  Whiskey
1 Liter:  Scotch
1 Liter:  Rum
1 Liter:  Tequila
1 Liter:  Peach Schnapps

Depending on your guests’ preferences, you may wish to order more Scotch or Gin and less Whiskey.

The above information is intended as a guideline to assist our customers with their questions when purchasing products for their social gathering. You should also have a selection of non-alcoholic beverages available.

Bartending Glassware And Equipment

• The right glass can definitely make a drink pleasurable, but you don’t need a special glass for each drink. Two basics shapes are adaptable for most drinks: on-the-rocks, (with or without stem) and the tulip-shaped wine glass holding 8 to 11 ounces. You can add these styles to round out your needs: sours, steins and tulip or saucer champagne glasses.

• To look like you are a professional you need only a few basic bartending items: bottle opener, corkscrew, ice tongs, bar strainer, 1-1/2 ounce jigger, stainless steel knife, ice bucket, serving tray, stirrers, coasters and napkins.

With the right planning and equipment your party will be a great success.

We hope this guideline has been helpful to you with the emphasis that responsible judgment prevails with regard to the use of alcoholic beverages. Please read our Disclaimer for more detailed information.
